FRAMEWORK FOR DECOLONIZING DESIGNIndigenizing Design
The Indigenizing Design framework was co-created with Indigenous partners to center Indigenous knowledge and leadership in the human-centered design practice. We developed a place-based design language with six Indigenizing Design Markers—values that double as indicators—supported by a curriculum and an ecosystem mapping tool to teach and apply Indigenizing in practice.
